Machine Operator

Adecco Staffing is working with a manufacturing plant in Chester, VT who is looking for Production Machine Operator's on all shifts! This is a temp-hire position.


Pay Rates:


  • 1st:
    $16.00/hour
  • 2nd:
    $18.00/hour
  • 3rd:
    $18.50/hour

Hours:


  • 1st:
    7:
    00am -3:
    00pm Monday through Friday
  • 2nd:
    3:
    00pm-11:
    00pm Monday through Friday
  • 3rd:
    11:
    00pm-7:
    00am Monday through Friday

Job Details:


  • Prepare and verify equipment, tools and production materials are ready for use during each shift according to established procedures and batch schedule.
  • Set up equipment according to scheduled products for the shift.
  • Operate automated production equipment in the preparation of products.
  • Collaborate and communicate regularly with other production staff to ensure efficiency, quality and safety are always paramount.
  • Perform ongoing quality checks for bad seals, misaligned labels, under-filled product, cracked glass and any other variation from standard.
  • Adhere to, use, and encourage Good Manufacturing Practices following all sanitation SOPs and production procedures and guidelines and SQF programs.
  • Follow lot control procedures and FIFO.
  • Maintain high cleanliness and quality standards. Report any concerns immediately upon discovery and take and/or recommend steps to remediate.
  • Clean and sanitize equipment, tools and production room as needed.
  • Follow established procedures in the disassembly, cleaning, sanitation, and reassembly of all equipment and tools.
  • Adhere to, use and encourage safe work practices, following safety rules and regulations including but not limited to Lock Out/Tag Out and personal protective equipment.
  • Report any potential safety hazards, near misses or injuries to the Production Supervisor/Director of Operations.
  • Complete and submit required documentation for department.
  • Ensure a neat/clean/safe work area to prevent injury or product contamination.
  • Participate in maintaining a clean work environment through the remainder of the facility as needed.
  • Collaborate, communicate, and meet with managers and other appropriate personnel to accomplish Company goals.
  • Attend meetings as required.
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with standards and requirements for food safety, GMP, SQF, and other regulatory or internal quality programs.
  • Adhere to and follow all Company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and through written documentation.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
