NOW HIRING FOR PROCUREMENT AND LOGISTICS MANAGER Drew's LLC in Chester, VT is a manufacturer of a high-quality line of all-natural and organic dressings and salsas.
We are looking for a Procurement and Logistics Manager to join our team.
The Procurement and Logistics Manager will successfully manage the Purchasing and Logistics functions to support the Operations team by optimizing the timing and costs of inbound and outbound goods to balance the goals of lowest total cost, on-time receipt of raw material components, on-time delivery of finished goods and minimal utilization of physical space and operating capital for inventory storage.
The Procurement and Logistics Manager will have the following Responsibilities:
" Oversee and monitor inventory levels, inventory pricing and the coordination of all activities related to procurement of supplies through delivery of finished goods in cooperation with the Purchasing Manager.
" Oversee and monitor the receiving, warehousing, and distribution of all inventory items in cooperation with the Warehouse Supervisor.
" Make suitable purchasing/inventory arrangements available as appropriate - inventory consignment, contract pricing, blanket purchase orders, spot orders, vendor stocking arrangements, etc.
" Keep abreast of market conditions and trends.
Prepare related reports as needed and communicate pricing trends.
" Monitor and analyze cost of goods performance and inventory levels compared to standards.
" Develop systems and design/utilize spreadsheets to facilitate reporting and analyses of purchasing, freight, inventory usages and other relevant data.
" Negotiate best rates and scheduling for inbound and outbound freight.
Process freight claims.
" Ensure on time arrivals for inbound and outbound freight.
Follow up with freight companies to ensure that customer delivery appointments are made.
" Review processes and procedures for system improvements.
Make recommendations.
" Collaborate, communicate and meet with managers and other appropriate personnel to accomplish Company goals.
Prepare for and attend meetings as required.
" Conduct research, analyses and special projects as assigned.
" Adhere to, follow and enforce all Company policies and procedures.
" Other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.
Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum 4-year college degree, Business or Operations Management preferred 2-5 years of experience in Logistics and/or Purchasing preferred Computer Proficiency in Windows environment, Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint Ability to utilize various software programs and online portals Excellent Written and Oral Communication Skills Exceptional attention to detail Ability to work closely with other team members in various departments Hours will be Monday-Friday 8am-5pm or as needed to fulfill responsibilities.
